How do I make a size chart for my clothing products?

Edit the table with your own sizes and garment measurements, such as bust, waist, hip and length, switch between inches and centimetres, add a note, and download the chart as a PNG for listings, catalogues and WhatsApp. The starting values are examples only; measure your own garments, because sizing varies between makers.

How to use it

  1. Rename the columns to the measurements you use.
  2. Measure each size laid flat and enter the values.
  3. Add or remove rows and columns as needed.
  4. Download the PNG and add it to every listing.

Measure the garment, not a standard

There is no single Indian size standard that every maker follows, so a size M from one factory can differ from another. Buyers return clothes that do not fit, so a chart from your actual garments is worth the time.

Body or garment measurements?

Say which you give. Garment measurements are taken from the clothing laid flat; body measurements describe the person it fits. Mixing them up is a common cause of fit returns.

Questions

What measurements go on a kurti size chart?
Usually bust, waist, hip and length, and sometimes shoulder and sleeve. Use what helps buyers choose.
Should I use inches or centimetres?
Many Indian buyers read inches, while international listings use centimetres. The chart can convert between them.
Are the example numbers a standard chart?
No. They are placeholders. Replace them with your own garment measurements.
