What size should Amazon product images be?

Make Amazon product images square, at least 1000 pixels on the longest side so zoom works, and ideally 2000×2000. The main image should show the product on a pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255), filling most of the frame, with no text, logos or watermarks. This tool resizes photos to 2000×2000 with white padding, in bulk.

  4. Check each main image in the marketplace image checker.

Main image rules

Amazon is strict about the main image: pure white background, the product filling most of the frame, and no added text, graphics or props that are not included with the product. Secondary images can show the product in use, on a model or with details.

Why 2000 pixels

Zoom needs at least 1000 pixels on the longest side. 2000×2000 gives sharper zoom on large screens while keeping files manageable.
