How do I convert HEIC to JPG?

Add your HEIC photos and download them as JPGs, one at a time or as a ZIP. iPhones save photos as HEIC by default, and many upload forms only accept JPG or PNG. The conversion runs in your browser, so your photos are never uploaded.

Your photos stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

How to use it

  1. Add your HEIC photos.
  2. Wait a moment; the first file loads the converter.
  3. Download each JPG, or all of them as a ZIP.

Stop an iPhone creating HEIC

On an iPhone, open Settings, then Camera, then Formats, and choose Most Compatible. New photos will save as JPG, and existing photos stay HEIC.

Quality and file size

HEIC stores photos efficiently, so the JPG will usually be larger. Run it through the image compressor if an upload limit is tight.

Questions

Why can’t I upload my iPhone photo?
It is probably saved as HEIC, which many websites do not accept. Converting it to JPG fixes that.
Is my photo uploaded for conversion?
No. A decoder runs in your browser and the file stays on your device.
Can I convert many at once?
Yes. HEIC decoding is heavy, so larger batches take longer, especially on a phone.
